The 5 Best & Worst Treats for Dogs this Holiday Season!

Hey guys, it’s Dr. Greg Grillo here from Dentably Magazine, once again.

Did you know that there are a lot of brands out there that have a negative effect on your pet’s teeth more than owners realize.

Because of this, a lot of pets end up in an emergency vet’s office for oral health and stomach problems, which is why it’s so important to not only keep your oral health in mind during the holidays, but your pet’s oral health as well.

A lot of owners feel like splurging during the holidays and eating all the good food in sight. There’s nothing wrong with that, but you also need to keep your pet in mind – they can’t have all that human food like we can.

With this in mind, it’s natural to want to give them an abundance of treats for being such a good boy all year, especially if they’re behaving well when guests come for dinner.

The best way to keep your pet’s oral health happy through the holidays, and their digestive system, is to ensure that you’re only feeding them healthy treats that don’t have scary surprises in the ingredients.

Nothing will ruin Christmas faster than having to take your pet to the emergency vet.

In addition, if you’ve chipped or broken a tooth, feel free to give us a call for any dental emergency you may have throughout the holidays.
